A major effort was made about two decades ago to install, license and operate a Hyperbaric chamber at our building in Milford, New Jersey. The purpose of this effort was to provide a local facility to treat divers for decompression sickness should the need arise.
The effort, which was documented in a New York Times article dated May 12th 1990, eventually failed because a qualified physician could not be retained to operate the chamber.
The chamber has sat unused, except to act as a very large and heavy storage container, for the past 20 years. The logistics involved in removing it are obviously non-trivial however if your organization could use such a device, please contact us.
