It has been my pleasure to be associated with this organization for the past 18 years. I have held every position within the organization and I suggest everyone do the same. The experience will give you a full rounded knowledge of what it truly takes to maintain and support the entire organization. The meetings and building drills are an opportunity to get active and for members to take charge of an area that requires attention. Please take it upon yourself to work with the officers in charge to build your knowledge of our organization and enhance our effectiveness. Areas that always need attention are: Building Maintenance, Public Relations, Fund Raising, Events, Member Training, Member Recruitment, Vehicle Maintenance, Equipment Acquisition, Equipment Maintenance, Records and Manuals, Education, Compliance and Affilliate Meetings, Government Activities. Somebody has to do these things and it is unrealistic to expect the officers to do it all. Even if you can only perform one of these tasks, your contribution of time will be appreciated. Remember that we can survive and grow if we work together, if we wait for someone else to do all the work we will never accomplish our true goals.

Currently we are working on documenting all of our repetitive activies so they are not forgotten. I urge you all to participate and use the unscheduled times as efficiently as possibly. Bring your computers and if you see an opportunity, make use of the time to be as productive as possible.
